Beautifully made, the locket has rounded sides, fitted bale and the applied silver monogram’AF’ or’FA’, the letters cleverly differentiated with shading and implied relief so they look like they intertwine. It dates from around 1880 and is in excellent, fully wearable condition throughout, with no loss or damage and the hinge & closure function well. It weighs 22.9 grams in total and the locket measures 1 ¾ x 1 ½ inches. The necklace measures 18 inches wearable length.
