Obverse: The obverse is graced with a right facing effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, contrasted against a guilloche patterned field inscribed with “ELIZABETH II, ” D. The distinctive likeness was created in 2015 by Jody Clark, who is notably the first sculptor of The Royal Mint to design a monarch’s coinage effigy in more than a century. Reverse: The reverse depicts Britannia standing on Great Britain’s shores, armed with a trident, an olive branch and a patriotic shield.
