The allegorical figure stands on the waves holding her trident, a symbol of her power, in one hand and balancing a shield that bears the famed Union Jack with the other. The ocean waves in the background come to life thanks to a new security feature, and another, which is in the lower left, switches from a padlock to a trident as the coin is moved.
