Silver Royal Marines 1st Pattern Fighting Knife
Silver Royal Marines 1st Pattern Fighting Knife. Royal Marines Fighting Knife in hallmarked sterling silver recreated to celebrate the 350th Anniversary of the Royal Marines which occurred on 28th October 2014. Exclusively moulded from the only original existing Fairbairn and Sykes 1st pattern fighting knife used in World War II (as held by the Royal Marines Museum in Portsmouth). This is an exact recreation even to the point where you can see sharpening of the blade and use of the hilt in combat. Overall length of dagger is 11.5 inches and length of blade is 6.75 inches. Limited edition number 299 (of 350 ever made). I chose this particular edition as 29th September is my sons birthday. Supplied in original black wooden presentation box complete with description plaques and green felt backing. The knife also comes complete with a certificate of authenticity from the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund. It has been on my wall since October 2014. Sad to see go but will make a great addition to any military, Royal Marine, WW2 or knife collection, or even someone wishing to invest in silver. And most industry analysts predict the price of silver will continue to increase this year. No collection option either. Any questions please ask. No offers at all so please dont ask.
