Description: – A Victorian period (c1890) 9ct gold & silver fronted sapphire & diamond crescent brooch. As was common for the period, the brooch is unhallmarked, and has been tested to be silver fronted, and 9ct gold minimum fineness to the reverse. Period: – Late 19th Century. Date: – Circa 1890. Measurement: – The brooch measures 6.2 cm from end to end. Weight: – 7.5 grams / 0.24 troy ounces. Condition: – The brooch is in good antique condition. There are light surface scratches to the brooch as would be expected with the age and usage of the piece. The pin and c-clasp work as expected. The diamonds and sapphires are in good condition.
